so I’m going to be done school in less than a month. And getting a new tablet :D Mannnnn I wanna get my hands on that so badly! I haven’t painted in forever derp ._.

so I was wondering if anything is going on in May? Any projects? Art books looking for submissions? Contests? I’ve been away from the art/drawing community for quite a while and wanna get involved again.

If you know of any good opportunities, please let me know! ;U;

just my opinion:

nowadays it’s so common to see girls (especially asian girls) with very heavy makeup. “Heavy” as in circle lenses + 3 pairs of lashes + a ton of eyeliner etc. There’s even TV shows in Taiwan based on this makeup “technique”. Personally, I find this quite appalling: I mean, if I did all that and looked in the mirror, I would probably scare myself to death because the person looking back ISN’T me. I know that everyone wants to look pretty sometimes, but that does not constitute to changing your appearance completely! I think the issue at hand is the same as that with plastic surgery, which is the incapability to come to terms with one’s true appearance. Learn to love yourself. Yes, it’s fine to add some glitter and dazzle, but remember that you’re uniquely you and nothing can replace that.
